About the role
This position is responsible for the procurement of medications and supervision of administrative staff performing financial and procurement duties within the RBWH Pharmacy.The role is also responsible for providing, developing and maintaining an efficient, effective, ethical and confidential administrative support service within the Pharmacy Department.
This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the department and other members of multidisciplinary teams.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ability to maintain departmental administrative processes and established work procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the work flow.
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a team to achieve organisational goals and meet deadlines through good time management.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally with all levels of staff and members of the public using communication and interpersonal skills of tact, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.
- Provide and maintain an efficient procurement service for the Pharmacy Department and support service to the Assistant Directors and Director of Pharmacy.
