Our Health Service is expanding and so is our Occupational Therapy Team! Deliver high level occupational therapy services and leadership within Ipswich Hospital (including inpatient wards and the Emergency Department). Occupational Therapy Clinical Services within the West Moreton Health include the provision of outpatient, inpatient and sub-acute clinical services. Services may be provided in hospital, a clinic, or patient’s homes.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- High level of knowledge, expertise and skill in contemporary clinical practice standards for adult physical occupational therapy services relevant to hospital inpatient and/or emergency department caseloads and as recognised by clinical experience, professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualifications.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to work autonomously and flexibly with initiative in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Builds rapport with patients and demonstrate empathy, patience and respect in delivering a flexible service that meets patient's needs, in accordance with organisational goals.
- High level organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise clinical caseloads and non-clinical tasks, and the ability to provide leadership and direction to students, HP3 clinical staff and assistants.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy and hold full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
