An exciting opportunity exists for a part-time Occupational Therapist - Senior to provide clinical leadership and acute care within the multidisciplinary Acute Stay Unit at Gympie Hospital. This role supports patient flow, delivers high-quality acute care, and provides supervision to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.
• Adhere to relevant expectations outlined in the SCH and Allied Health Governance Framework documents and Business Rules to ensure that best patient outcomes are achieved in a transparent, ethical and accountable manner.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $96,278 p.a., comprising salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary part time position available for 12 months, 45.6 hrs p.f.).
