About us:
Cancer Care Services provides care for patients with cancer across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and regularly for patients living in Central West Queensland. We provide Day Therapy and Outpatient Ambulatory services during business hours, Monday to Friday (including public holidays).
Systemic anti-cancer treatments and supportive therapies are the core business of the service. Cancer Care Services operate under a hub and spoke model across Central Queensland. The model of care is based on best practice models that closely integrate Cancer Care Services with Specialist Palliative Care Services.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) within Cancer Care Services is a registered nurse who provides expert clinical leadership and consultancy in the specialty of Cancer Care. The CNC operates with a high level of autonomy, delivering both direct and indirect care while collaborating with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Nurse Educator, and multidisciplinary teams, to uphold exemplary nursing standards and ensure safe, high-quality care.
About you:
- The successful applicant will hold a tertiary degree qualification such as a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Current nursing registration though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is also a requirement for this position.
- Provision of ADAC qualifications to be assessed and validated by the service. Good Clinical Practice qualification or working towards is necessary.
- Oncology Nursing Qualification/Experience or commitment to completing qualification in a relevant post graduate qualification would be considered highly desirable and service would expect a commitment to study in this area of nursing be made by the successful applicant.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,369 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
