An exciting opportunity exists for an Advanced Health Care Worker to join the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health Directorate to work across all facilities and provide high quality care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families, as well as cultural education and training for SCHHS staff.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality care, including health awareness, education and health intervention strategies for individuals and the
- Provide support and advocacy to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families accessing services at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health
- Develop and maintain strong links within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and with relevant organisations and demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and
- Knowledge of the social determinants of health affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the ability to network and negotiate with other organisations to improve health outcomes.
Remuneration value up to $114, 385 p.a., comprising salary between $75 609 - $100 253 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HWF3). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
