About the Role
- performance review meetings with Divisional and cost centre managers to provide insight and analysis of financial and FTE performance and identify key opportunities for improvement in collaboration with the division. Present high-quality financial, FTE and activity data compared to budgets, targets, benchmarks and key performance indicators.
- Leads the coordination of divisional budget cycle tasks, completes divisional cost centre budgets, and maintains budget working papers and reports in accordance with prescribed CHQ Budget Guidelines and timeframes.
- Maintains oversight of Service Level Agreement divisional recurrent and non-current funding arrangements, including activity-based funding and the Department of Health service contract obligations, and manages funding alignment at divisional cost centre budget level.
- Liaises with divisional leaders and executives to review and analyse financial performance and provide financial input to development of interventions related to business performance and budgets.
- Prepares regular divisional full year forecasts identifying potential differences when compared to annual budget targets, to inform key stakeholders about expected financial risk. In addition, develop recommendations to enhance financial performance and maintain overall budget integrity based on forecast results.
- Develops effective working relationships with a range of multi-disciplinary staff to support and enhance the financial responsibilities and resource allocation for Divisional and cost centre management, which includes regular attendance in divisional management office locations.
- Actively seek out and identify areas for financial improvements that will significantly contribute to CHQ's long term financial sustainability.
- Actively contribute to the support, mentoring and coaching of Finance Business Partners and Finance Officers within the Financial Performance team.
