About the Role
- Manages the senior business partnering support to Divisional and cost centre management on performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, available funding and other financial management issues enhancing financial, operational, and clinical outcomes.
- Actively participates in regular monthly performance review meetings with Executive Directors and Senior Operational leadership teams to provide insight and analysis of financial and FTE performance and identify key risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Manages the budget build for Hospital Services and ensure Finance Business Partners prepare cost centre annual budgets, budget papers and reports in accordance with prescribed CHQ Budget Guidelines and timeframes.
- Maintains oversight of Service Level Agreement divisional recurrent and non-current funding arrangements, including activity-based funding and the Department of Health service contract obligations
- Manages the preparation of regular full year forecasts for the Hospital Services identifying potential differences when compared to annual budget targets, to inform key senior stakeholders of expected financial risk. In addition, develop recommendations to enhance financial performance and maintain overall budget integrity based on forecast results.
- Proactively leads on hospital wide analysis of key financial and FTE trends and variances with insights share amongst operational leadership teams and finance leads.
- Support senior hospital leaders with identifying, quantifying and tracking of sustainability initiatives to feed into CHQ's Sustainable Care Program.
- Undertake other activities and tasks, relevant to the role and level, as directed by Director, Financial Performance.
- Actively contribute to the support, mentoring and coaching of the Financial Performance team.
