Role details
The Step Up Step Down Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
Add to the SUSD client's holistic management by contributing to the efficient operation of the Step-Up Step-Down service. You will have the opportunity to deliver non-treatment activities as required. Duties are completed under the direct or indirect supervision of the clinical nurse consultant, and often collaboratively delivered with our non-clinical partners.
About the Team
The MHAODS SUSD provides services to adult clients aged 18 to 64 years with a severe mental disorder or illness who require treatment and care in a supportive environment. These clients may require short-term residential support with intensive clinical treatment to prevent them deteriorating and possibly requiring admission to an acute inpatient unit. They may also be clients who no longer require intense clinical treatment in an acute inpatient setting but may still require a short-term continuation of supported 24-hour treatment following discharge from the acute inpatient unit.
