The position of Team Leader Eating Disorders Program (EDP) Day Program team, Child and Youth Mental Health Service, will be: • Accountable for the operational management and leadership of the multi-disciplinary EDP Day Program team • Demonstrating a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to ensure effective service delivery within the speciality area of eating disorders specialist service within CYMHS, CHQ HHS • Provide high level clinical and operational leadership and expertise in strategic, operational, and human resource management utilising a well-developed level of clinical knowledge, problem solving skills and experience of complex contemporary clinical practice standards to ensure optimal clinical outcomes for consumers

About the Team
The Eating Disorders Program (EDP) is a specialist mental health clinical service and part of the child and youth mental health services (CYMHS) within Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS).
The Eating Disorders Program (EDP) takes a family and child-centred approach in working with children and adolescents with a primary eating disorder diagnosis. The EDP provides evidence-based clinical services for children, young people up to 18 years of age, and their families in the greater Brisbane area and some services across Queensland using telehealth. The range of clinical services include: face-to- face and telehealth assessment and treatment; case-based consultation and liaison; online psychoeducation for parents and carers; training and supervision for mental health and other clinicians.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Provide clinical and operational leadership, strategic direction and management to an eating disorders multi-disciplinary team, with service line management accountability and delegations as per the organisation and program accountability structure in diagrams below, and in accordance with:
- CHQ Delegations Manual for financial and human resources
- Ensure legislation and standards, information systems and databases that support the development, delivery and evaluation of child and youth mental health services are appropriately and effectively utilised by staff and provide analysis and advice in relation to policy development and legislation as it applies to clinical service provision.
