About the role

To ensure the complete and accurate clinical classification for all inpatient episodes to meet the reporting requirements and deadlines of Queensland Health across all Metro North Facilities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Work across Metro North Facilities (TPCH, RBWH, Redcliffe, Caboolture, STARs) on a needs basis and be available to work onsite with remote work opportunities.
  • Identify and assess potential improvements in documentation including appropriateness of the admission type (acute verses sub and non-acute), clarity of diagnosis, interpretation of results and performing CDQs to optimise DRG assignment for ABF.
  • Promote a safe and happy workplace by following the defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality services.
  • Proactively participate in end of month tasks, including ward coding, promoting teamwork to ensure monthly deadlines are met.
