Your new role:
As a Clinical Midwife within the Women and Birthing Service at Redland Hospital, you will provide expert clinical leadership and advanced midwifery care across the continuum of maternity services, supporting women, babies and families to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will:
- Provide advanced, evidence-based antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care across inpatient and outpatient settings, working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
- Lead clinical decision-making, care coordination and complex case management to ensure high-quality, woman-centred and culturally safe care.
- Provide professional leadership, education, mentoring and support to midwives, students and team members, fostering best practice and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, education, research and portfolio responsibilities aligned to National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
About you:
You are an experienced and passionate midwife who is committed to excellence in woman-centred care and professional leadership within a contemporary maternity service. You are:
- A Registered Midwife with NMBA and holding a Bachelor of Midwifery (or equivalent), with advanced clinical expertise and strong critical thinking skills.
- Able to lead and influence clinical practice, providing guidance, education and support to colleagues within a collaborative team environment.
- Committed to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, research and ongoing professional development to enhance outcomes for women and families.
- A strong advocate for culturally safe, inclusive and compassionate care, aligned with midwifery-led models and health equity principles.
