About your role
As the Advanced Clinical Leader – Speech Pathology across the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and strategic leadership to drive excellence in care, workforce capability and service improvement across multiple settings.
- Deliver advanced, independent Speech Pathology assessment, intervention and consultancy services for complex mental health presentations, providing clinical leadership in urgent and high-risk situations.
- Provide professional governance, supervision and leadership to Speech Pathologists, supporting workforce development, succession planning and high standards of clinical practice.
- Lead service delivery planning, data analysis, quality improvement and innovative models of care aligned with organisational and statewide priorities.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior clinicians and executive stakeholders to ensure safe, compassionate and patient-centred care across hospital and community environments.
About you
You are an accomplished Speech Pathologist with strong clinical credibility and a passion for leadership, innovation and improving outcomes for consumers within mental health services.
- You bring advanced clinical expertise and sound professional judgement in managing complex presentations, underpinned by strong ethical and evidence-based practice.
- You have demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring, with the ability to influence, engage and develop teams.
- You are skilled in service improvement, change management and the use of data to inform workforce planning, quality initiatives and outcomes.
- You thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and communicate confidently with clinicians, managers and external stakeholders.
