Role details
The Division of Women's and Children's Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant or Clinical Midwife Consultant (Women's Reproductive Health) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Consultant or Clinical Midwife Consultant is an employee who is a registered nurse /registered midwife who:
- Is appointed to an advanced practice nursing and/or midwifery position; and
- Demonstrates a specialised clinical expertise and/or specialised skill set.
Your opportunity is to support two specific patient cohorts of the Mackay Base Hospital Outpatients Department (OPD): Termination of Pregnancy (ToP) Services and Gynaecology OPD.
About the Team
Mackay Base Hospital Outpatient Departments provides high volume access to a wide range of specialist services for the Mackay community. The Termination of Pregnancy (ToP)/Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Consultant or Clinical Midwife Consultant reports to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Women's and Children's Service, Operations will in collaboration with multiple disciplinary teams, provide a nurse and or midwife led clinic to support the provision of ToP services and women requiring gynaecological support/intervention. It is the aim of the Mackay OPD to meet at all times, the needs of our patients, referring practitioners and the community, whilst simultaneously maintaining the highest possible ethical and clinical standards.
