Your new role:
This senior leadership role provides expert clinical, operational and strategic oversight of Respiratory Diagnostic Services across Metro South Health, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and contemporary respiratory diagnostics. You will:-
- Lead and manage multi-site Respiratory Laboratory services across Princess Alexandra Hospital, QEII Hospital and Redland Satellite Health Centre, under robust clinical governance frameworks.
- Provide expert clinical leadership in Respiratory Clinical Measurements, supporting complex patient care, workforce capability, quality assurance and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Deliver strategic, operational and professional leadership to a multidisciplinary workforce, including responsibility for workforce planning, service delivery, financial and asset management.
- Influence service direction, innovation, research and quality improvement initiatives at a local, state and national level in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
About you:
You are an accomplished respiratory scientist and clinical leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality diagnostic services and leading teams in complex healthcare environments.
- You possess expert clinical knowledge and experience in Respiratory Clinical Measurements, with the ability to provide authoritative advice and leadership across diverse stakeholder groups.
- You bring demonstrated experience in strategic, operational and workforce management across multi-site services, ensuring safe, sustainable and high-performing teams.
- You are a confident communicator and collaborator, able to influence service delivery, manage change and contribute to statewide and national professional networks.
- You are driven by innovation, research and continuous improvement, with the capability to lead projects that enhance service quality, patient outcomes and professional practice.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
