About the role
As a Contracts and Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and practical support to the Procurement Manager and Executive Management. You will coordinate contract procurement and management activities, ensuring probity, due diligence and alignment with organisational and government priorities, while supporting patient safety and continuous improvement across the health service.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity within a collaborative team that values quality, accountability and culturally safe practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and providing advice on contract procurement and management to minimise risk and ensure compliance with policies and government priorities.
- Maintaining effective contract management systems and administrative processes.
- Analysing contract information and preparing timely reports to support informed decision-making.
- Supporting and guiding staff on efficient procurement practices, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
