Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll play a key role in providing expert clinical care, leadership, and education within the Metro South Palliative Care Service (MSPCS). You will work with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex patient care across various Metro South sites. Your responsibilities are to:
- Lead and provide direct patient care, ensuring high standards and best practice.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, including education and mentorship.
- Plan and manage complex care needs of palliative patients, ensuring quality outcomes.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a person-centred approach to care.
About you:
You are a dedicated, compassionate nurse with advanced clinical skills and a passion for palliative care. You have the ability to lead by example and coordinate care with professionalism and empathy. You will have:
- Expertise in palliative care, managing complex patient needs.
- Proven ability to lead teams and guide colleagues in clinical practice.
- Ability to make high-level decisions in complex situations.
- Enthusiasm for advancing your own skills while contributing to the development of others.

Princess Alexandra Hospital:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
