As part of the Queensland Fire Department (QFD), you will help to preempt, prevent, mitigate and manage the consequences of fire and other emergencies for Queensland communities. The QFD People and Culture Directorate play a pivotal role behind the scenes, working collaboratively with leaders to build and sustain exceptional teams to carry out this important work.



Your opportunity

As a Senior Human Resources Advisor (AO6) within QFD's Recruitment and Talent Services team, you will assist in the development and review of contemporary best practice standards and processes and provide subject matter expert advice to managers and candidates to ensure effective service delivery in line with departmental objectives. This role will also be involved in framework development, talent mobility strategy planning and representing QFD in external career events.



In this role you will be responsible for:

Proactively developing and embedding recruitment and selection processes to support strategies that improve all stages of the recruitment and selection experience.

Represent QFD at external career events to maximise attraction opportunities

Design inclusive processes to enhance the overall experience for all candidates

Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and networks across the department and business partners to identify opportunities, collaborate and achieve outcomes.

A passion for finding innovative process improvement options that leads to excellent results for the department, QFD applicants and the wider Queensland community.
