The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Clinical Applications Specialist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver on the Clinical Informatics roadmap
  • Champion change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with clinicians, stakeholders, and vendors
  • Oversee governance for application support, incident/problem management, and release processes
  • Drive innovation and ensure best-practice ICT design and delivery

What We're Looking For

  • While not mandatory, a relevant Health Information Management or Information Technology qualification would be well regarded
  • The ability to participate in on-call arrangements and out of standard working hours is a requirement for this position (appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply)
  • A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in change management and process governance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to lead, mentor, and develop others
  • Experience in ICT service delivery within a healthcare or complex environment
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $121 360 - $ 129 998 per annum
