The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Registrars (Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
  • Attend tutorials, participate in on-the-job training in order to meet college requirements and develop clinical knowledge and skills
  • Actively participate in outcome reviews and audits in organisational systems improvement, including committees
  • Follow hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staff
  • Report adverse incidents and near misses and actively participate in Hospital's Integrated Risk Management and Safety Program

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • To submit an RANZCR templated CV as part of your application
  • MBBS (or equivalent) recognised by the Australian Medical Council
  • AHPRA registration including General Registration with the Australian Medical Board (no restrictions)
  • Australian Permanent Residency Status or Current work visa for full duration of the RANZCR training (5 years)
  • Minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical medical experience
  • IELTS Pass of 8 or above for those with English as a second language
  • Pass both AMC MCQ Examinations
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (several positions, 12 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $134 489 - $155 125 per annum
