We're excited to welcome an Enrolled Nurse – Plaster Service to our Surgical Services Outpatients Team here at SCUH.
The Enrolled Nurse – Plaster Service will be responsible for providing nursing care / plaster application directly to patients according to their scope of practice within the Orthopaedic Clinic and other clinical departments here at SCUH. They contribute to the effectiveness of the multidisciplinary team through assisting the clinical nursing teams and plaster technicians.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Application of Plaster of Paris casts / Synthetic Casts and applying orthopaedic appliances / Braces
- Removal of Casts
- Attending Operating Theatres / Inpatient areas to assist with cast / orthopaedic appliance application
- Ordering orthopaedic appliances
- Wound care dressings in conjunction with cast or orthopaedic appliance application.
Salary between $71 234 - $75 602 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 3) (permanent full-time, 76hrs p.f.).
