An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Advisor to join our Business Team that supports the Community & Preventive Health and Women's & Children's Service Directorates. The Business Advisor will provide a high level of financial and business advisory support to the Finance Business Manager and leadership team to assist in the efficient performance and management of services within an environment of growth and change. The position provides leadership within the unit that supports service review and change management activities.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate the negotiation and communication with cost centre managers, program managers/directors and representatives to plan and coordinate the delivery of services required by individual programs.
- Analyse budgetary trends and prepare annual operating budget and monthly expenditure summaries. Analyse, monitor and review expenditure and budget forecasts and initiate action in consultation with cost centre managers and service line Finance Business Managers concerning variances and trends.
- Analyse and present quality financial, staffing and clinical activity data compared to budgets, targets, benchmarks and key performance indicators through the advanced use of Microsoft Office applications and Queensland Health Corporate systems related to this role such as QHEPS, QHRisk, myHR, S/4HANA and Decision Support System (DSS), and others as appropriate.
- Assist the Finance Business Manager and leadership team with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and business plan, service profiles, service contract and maintenance programs and other longer-term plans as appropriate.
Remuneration value up to $10,921 p.m., comprising salary between $4,046.40 - $4,402.60 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO5) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for 9 months, with possibility of extension).
