About us:

The Cardiac Investigations Unit offers a range of cardiac diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, tilt table testing, and ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring. Expansion to Cardiac Services will see a Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (CCL) commence in 2026 with Cardiac Physiologist led haemodynamic monitoring.

About the role:

  • Deliver senior-level cardiac investigations across assigned clinical portfolios including echocardiography, pacing, non-invasive testing and Cath Lab services.
  • Maintain flexibility across modalities to ensure patient-centred, timely and responsive care.
  • Provide diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient caseloads.
  • Contribute to the delivery of future outreach clinics across Central Queensland Health.
  • Support service development, education and quality initiatives within Cardiac Investigations.

About you:

  • You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in science or applied science with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology.
  • You have advanced experience in cardiac diagnostics and senior clinical practice.
  • You demonstrate leadership in education, quality improvement or service development.
  • You communicate confidently and work collaboratively across teams.
  • You're adaptable, patient-focused and committed to regional health outcomes.
  • You're motivated to contribute to the growth of cardiac services in Central Queensland.

What we offer:

Permanent/Temporary

Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

Casual

  • An hourly rate between $80.80 - $86.94 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
