About your role

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Quality) – Surgery, you will be responsible for delivering advanced nursing leadership and consultancy services.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and coordinate quality, safety and clinical governance initiatives across surgical services.
  • Provide advanced clinical expertise and consultancy to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee clinical risk processes including incident management, audits and trend analysis.
  • Support Nurse Unit Managers and teams to embed evidence-based, person-centred care.
  • Drive service improvement, clinical redesign and change management aligned with standards.

About you

You are a senior Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical expertise and strong leadership capability.

You will: 

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and leadership experience within surgical services.
  • Apply expertise in quality improvement frameworks, risk management and governance.
  • Communicate effectively with strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Lead change, influence practice and support workforce capability development.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice and excellence.
