About us:

Capricornia Offender Health Service staff aim to provide safe, efficient, evidence based and client-focussed health care within the structure and security function of the Corrective Services facility. This is achieved through assessment, planning, early intervention and evaluation to support offenders in achieving optimal health outcomes that is equivalent to that available to the general community. Majority of the health care interventions are provided within a clinic environment with emergency responses as required.

About the role:

The Senior Pharmacist within the Capricornia Offender Health Service is responsible for the provision of an effective, efficient and equitable contemporary pharmacy service to the offenders (clients) of the Capricornia Correctional Centre facility. Capricornia Offender Health Service delivers primary level health care to offenders with the Pharmacist working as a member of the multidisciplinary team. This position will also participate in a broad range of Quality Use of Medicine initiatives and will contribute to the development of unit specific guidelines and procedures.

About you:

  • Possession of at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (or eligible for registration in Australia).

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $13,113 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
