An exciting opportunity exists for a Pharmacist Senior Respiratory – RAPID Access Service to our Pharmacy Department. The common objective of the Pharmacy Service is that patients derive maximum benefit from medications whilst being exposed to minimum risk. This purpose will be achieved by the deployment of a skilled and caring pharmacy workforce. The position will provide high level pharmaceutical services to the patients of Sunshine Coast Health in accordance with their needs and the policies and priorities of the health service.

Key Responsibilities include:
- The Pharmacist Senior (Respiratory) position is a non-rotational position and will function as part of a team of pharmacists providing services to Respiratory patients within the Pharmacy Services of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
- An expectation of this position is to support the Pharmacist Advanced Specialty Services Team Leader in all Medication Management initiatives and to assist in the development of continuous quality improvement activities to ensure optimum patient medication safety.
- Provide advice and assistance as required to subordinate staff and line management regarding the management of clinical work practices, distribution, dispensing, production, and quality assurance as it relates to pharmaceutical services in their area of responsibility.
- Service delivery must be in accordance with contemporary professional, legislative and quality standards including:
- Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021
- Professional Standards of Practice of the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha)
- Queensland Health Directives and Sunshine Coast Health procedures
Remuneration value up to $78 680 p.a, comprising salary rates $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Part time position, 38 hrs p.f.)
