In this senior role, you'll provide independent advanced haemodynamic monitoring in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab while leading clinical governance, quality, education, and service development across cardiac investigations.

As new facilities come online, including the Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, you'll help shape services spanning CCL, pacing, ECG, stress testing, Holter, event and ABP monitoring. Central Queensland Health delivers care to vibrant regional communities across Central Queensland. Our Cardiac Investigations Unit works collaboratively across disciplines to deliver high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiology services, underpinned by education, research, and innovation.

About the role:

  • Deliver independent, advanced cardiac investigations within the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab.
  • Provide expert clinical leadership across CCL, pacing, ECG, stress testing and monitoring services.
  • Lead clinical governance, protocol development, quality and safety initiatives.
  • Act as a senior clinical consultant for complex cardiac presentations.
  • Drive education, research, and workforce capability development.
  • Influence service planning at unit, service and state-wide levels.
  • Participate in on-call and multi-site service delivery as required.

About you:

  • You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in cardiac physiology or applied science.
  • You bring advanced experience across two or more cardiac diagnostic domains.
  • You demonstrate strong clinical judgement, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • You enjoy mentoring others and building high-performing, positive teams.
  • You're motivated to shape services, lead change, and improve patient outcomes.
  • You value regional healthcare and the relationships it builds with community.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
