In this pivotal role, you'll combine hands-on advanced echocardiography with strategic leadership, supporting a multidisciplinary cardiac investigations team across inpatient and outpatient services.
You'll play a key role in service development, research, and education, contributing to expanding cardiac services alongside the Cardiac Catheterisation and Electrophysiology Labs as new facilities come online. Supported by a strong learning culture and leadership development pathways, this role allows you to grow professionally while helping shape the future of cardiac diagnostics in a regional setting.

Our Cardiac Investigations Unit works collaboratively across disciplines to provide contemporary, evidence-based diagnostic and interventional cardiology services, grounded in teamwork, education, and continuous improvement.
About the role:
- Deliver independent advanced echocardiography services, including stress echo
- Provide senior clinical leadership across echocardiography services
- Lead clinical governance, protocol development, and quality improvement
- Act as a specialist consultant for complex cardiac presentations
- Mentor and supervise staff, supporting capability development
- Contribute to research, education, and service planning initiatives
- Participate in on-call, weekend, and multi-site service delivery
About you:
- You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in cardiac physiology or applied science
- You are registered or eligible for registration with ASAR
- You bring advanced echocardiography experience and strong clinical judgement
- You enjoy leading, mentoring, and developing others
- You value collaboration, evidence-based practice, and service improvement

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
