The Director Management Accounting position reports to the Senior Director Finance and plays an integral role in all aspects of the Sunshine Coast Hosapitl and Health Service financial management including the service agreement, budget process, forecasting, and provision expert analysis and advice to Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service stakeholders ensuring compliance, control and governance in business operations and processes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the Management Accounting team, providing budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting functions for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, enabling long term financial sustainability and monitor performance against targets.
- Support the continuous funding negotiation process with the Department of Health, provide analysis and advice to maximise revenue streams available.
- Liaise with key Department of Health and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service stakeholders on budget developments with respect to activity-based funding and business processes relating to budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, costing and reporting.
- Provide timely reporting of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service's financial performance against targets including analysis of the key drivers of the monthly results to highlight key items for discussion at Operational, Executive and Board meetings.
