The role
The ICT Testing Principal Support Consultant will oversee and manage all aspects of testing for the ongoing implementation and support of large scale and complex Information Management (IM)/Information Communications Technology (ICT) program/project(s) and provide expert ICT Testing advice whilst ensuring compliance with the Department of Health ICT Testing Policy and alignment with contemporary IM/ICT frameworks and standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and strategically manage systems testing design and improvement methodologies to ensure systems can be migrated from a development environment through to implementation and support with compliance to the Department of Health ICT Testing Policy and guidelines.
- Provides input to the strategic direction of IM/ICT Testing in eHealth, Department of Health, and Health and Hospital Services.
- Manage collaborative and influential relationships with senior stakeholders across Queensland health to implement and integrate ICT Testing across significant enterprise applications and services.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Extensive testing experience in a leadership capacity in managing and advising significant and complex projects in a large and complex IM / ICT environment. This includes extensive testing project and program management capability. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 6)
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
- Demonstrated experience in the management of all phases of testing, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and auditability for large, complex ICT program/project(s). (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders and external technology vendors to partner with and engage them in delivering the required ICT testing outcomes. (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 6)
- Demonstrated ability to drive implementation of innovative approaches and continuous improvement of testing framework for a large and complex ICT environment. (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 6)
- High level interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communications skills including the ability to influence others in a large and complex organisation. (NHS: Leading change through people; NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team. (NHS: Leading change through people).
