About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Advanced level knowledge, expertise, skills, professional judgement and ability to apply contemporary evidence-based Physiotherapy clinical practice within the Emergency Department/MIIC.
- Ability to use expertise and evidence-based practice to facilitate novel, complex Physiotherapy or multidisciplinary clinical decisions in response to problems of significant scope within a complex caseload.
- Recognised expertise, knowledge and skills obtained through significant professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualification(s)
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, implement and evaluate service improvement initiatives and to provide clinical supervision, operational coordination and education to less experienced staff and students within the Emergency Department.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- This position will be required to participate in a seven-day roster, between the hours of 7am-11pm, and required to work every second weekend.
