This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care while overseeing clinical governance, workforce management, and operational performance.

Your opportunity: 

  • The Director of Nursing (DON), Childers Multipurpose Health Service, is a senior clinical and operational leader accountable at an advanced practice level for the overall management and governance of nursing, operational, and administrative services within the facility.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across acute and aged care streams, while maintaining accountability for facility management, workforce performance, and regulatory compliance, including adherence to Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant accreditation frameworks.
  • The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership to nursing, administrative, and operational staff, ensuring effective utilisation of human, financial, and physical resources to support sustainable, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. The role leads quality improvement, risk management, and clinical governance activities, using data, audit outcomes, and performance indicators to ensure the service is organised for safety, accreditation-ready, and responsive to community needs.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $192,005 p.a., comprising salary between $160,507 - $168,284 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 10) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
