Role details
The Clinical Measurements Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Measurements Senior Scientist Respiratory to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
As a respiratory scientist, you'll deliver base level Respiratory Investigations services across the clinical areas (refer to role-specific responsibilities). These tests are to investigate disorders of the respiratory system using a number of standardised testing protocols involving complex caseloads to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards.
Perform, with a high degree of independence and infrequent clinical practice supervision, as a high-level practitioner in the respiratory sciences.
About the Team
The Clinical Measurement Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including neuro-diagnostic services, cardiac and respiratory.
Our multidisciplinary scientists work in all aspects of neurophysiology and respiratory sciences.
The unit staff are a resource for education and training, and an information resource to all levels and disciplines of hospital staff, students, and to external agencies.
The unit accepts requests directly from medical officers for all inpatients and outpatients of the Mackay Base Hospital, from other regional hospitals and private external medical practitioners.
The unit operates Monday to Friday with operating hours of 8.00am to 4.30pm.
