About your opportunity:

The principal location of this role is with Home Care.  At times the demand for both Home Care and Operational Services varies and staff may be redeployed to Operational Services on the Charters Towers Health Service campus.

The Purpose of this position is to a) provide basic domestic cleaning and support services to the frail aged of the community and their carers and / or b) undertake operational support in laundry, catering, cleaning and porterage at the Charters Towers Health Service.

About the work unit / facility:

Charters Towers Health Service is a level 3 (CSCF), non-birthing, 23 bed rural hospital with emergency service and ambulatory services.  Ambulatory services include community health nursing, child health nursing, home care services, midwifery group practice (non-birthing), advanced health worker, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and social work onsite.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Casual rates: $39.05 to $41.66 p.h. (OO2)

Role Requirements:

  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance and Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening.
