We're excited to welcome a Senior Occupational Therapist – Orthopaedics to work in the inpatient surgical wards.

This role predominantly works with patients in orthopaedics and general surgery. You will work alongside the seniors within the surgical team, covering complex surgery and vascular surgery. You will support HP3 Occupational Therapists including new graduate Occupational therapists in the surgical team. Clinical experience in orthopaedics and general surgery preferred.

As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital Health and Queensland Health (SCH).

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.

Remuneration value up to $125,887 p.a, comprising salary rates $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary part time position available, up to 60.8 hrs p.f. for 12 months).
