Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse in the Cancer Day Therapy Unit (CDTU) and Day Therapy Unit (DTU), you will provide safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients undergoing medical oncology, haematology and supportive therapies. You will work collaboratively across both units during an exciting period of growth and transition, contributing to the delivery of integrated, evidence-based care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering safe, compassionate nursing care to oncology and haematology ambulatory patients
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised patient care
- Administering and supporting a range of day therapy treatments, including chemotherapy and infusions
- Working collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and support teams
- Supporting quality improvement, safety initiatives and clinical governance
About you:
You are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who values person-centred care and teamwork. You are committed to professional growth and delivering high-quality outcomes for patients and families in a dynamic clinical environment.
You will bring:
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient safety
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A willingness to develop specialist skills in oncology, haematology and day therapy
- Experience or interest in CVAD management and ambulatory cancer care
- Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) competency (highly desirable but not mandatory)
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical-thinking skills
