About us:

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will:

  • Coordinates formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of integrated mental health and addictions care or disciplinary specific services which includes integration of consumer care across the continuum of care.
  • Maintain high level interpersonal and communication skills with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, internal and external stakeholders, and visitors to the service.
  • Assist team leader to manage change at a local level including the integration of strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement.
  • Provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, senior management, relevant service managers and stakeholders regarding service needs and initiatives to improve mental health service for child and youth consumers.
  • Complete other relevant tasks as per request of the Team Leader, Operations Manager/Director of Allied Health- MHAODS and the Senior Mental Health Management team.
