Clinical Nurse (Renal Unit)

About us:

The Rockhampton Hospital Renal Services are a district wide service and are part of the Division of Medicine. The Renal Service program encompasses those patients referred into the Renal Service from across Central Queensland Health.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager in the delivery, management and development of the clinical services in the Rockhampton Renal Service and provides clinical expertise within the renal setting to ensure the provision of best practice, and quality patient care.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing teaching and support to nursing staff and patients to enhance skill acquisition and competence.

  • Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate patient care at an advanced practitioner level within the Renal Services setting.
  • Provide effective and efficient nephrology clinical care and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary team to ensure the maintenance of high quality standards of patient care.

About you:

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and current practising certificate is mandatory for this position.
  • While not mandatory, a post graduate qualification in Renal Nursing is desirable.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $135,857 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
