About the role

This is a pivotal role for an accomplished clinician who is passionate about both advanced practice and developing others. You will lead a dedicated team of dietitians, drive service innovation, and shape the future of clinical nutrition across complex and high‑acuity areas.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide clinical advice and direction to a team of nutrition and dietetic clinicians to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
  • Independently deliver advanced nutrition and dietetic clinical and consultancy services across a range of complex clinical areas including surgery and critical care in accordance with professional practices, standards and principles.
  • Lead innovative quality/service improvement and research projects of significant scope and clinical importance to Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Services and/or Queensland Health, seeking outcomes that influence standards of clinical practice and the delivery of services to meet local needs and influence broader organisational goals including publishing/presenting relevant work broadly.
  • Actively pursue professional development and learning opportunities and provide leadership in facilitating other's professional development.
