About us:
Assist the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) for HITH, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff in ensuring a high quality efficient and equitable clinical service to clients admitted to HITH. This service aims to provide ward level care in a patient's home utilising both home visits and virtual consultations. The patient types include General Medicine (including Covid-19 positive patients), Surgical and Orthopaedics clients.
Direct referrals from General Practice will also be admitted to this model of care. This position works with the HITH SMO. This position is also responsible (in conjunction with the HITH SMO) for establishing and strengthening collegial relationships with clinical specialties to ensure optimum patient care, referral pathways and protocols in the HITH service.
About the role:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) for Central Queensland Health works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM)/Director of Nursing (DON)/Nursing Director/Team Manager and wider Central Queensland Health program team to support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Acute Care.
About you:
- Registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Postgraduate Masters in Nurse Practitioner or equivalent is mandatory.
- The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $15,261 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $77.53 - $80.95 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
