About us:
The Specialist Outpatients Department spans three levels of the Rockhampton Hospital covering nine major specialties – Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear Nose and Throat, General Surgery, General Medicine, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Urology. There are various other visiting specialties including Pacemaker Clinic, Respiratory, Adult Congenital Heart Disease Outreach Clinic as well as a number of telehealth specialty clinics.
The SOPD Team works closely with a wide range of other departments including Renal Services, Cancer Care Services, Allied Health, Department of Child Safety, Operational Services, and Community Services. SOPD also works collaboratively with other facilities within Central Queensland Health and across the state with other Hospital and Health Services in order to have patients treated appropriately closest to home.
About the role:
A Nurse Grade 3 is an Enrolled Nurse who supports a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife in the provision of patient centred care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.
- Will work directly with a range of staff within the Specialist Outpatients Department, under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse/ midwife.
- Seek assistance and support in decision making from a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife.
About you:
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrates sound evidence-based clinical skills for an Enrolled Nurse and knowledge in area of practice and setting working within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
- Practices within the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia competency domains and standards for an Enrolled Nurse.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to change.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $28,056 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $37.00 - $39.27 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
