Your new role:

This is a valuable opportunity for a Speech Pathology student to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive public health environment while completing their tertiary studies. You will:

• Provide defined clinical assessment, treatment and support activities under the supervision of qualified Allied Health professionals
• Contribute to safe, patient-centred and compassionate care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Work collaboratively within an interprofessional team, including participation in case conferences and meetings
• Support service delivery through clinical documentation, education of consumers and families, and quality improvement activities

About you:

You are a motivated and compassionate Speech Pathology student who is eager to apply your developing skills in a real-world healthcare setting. You are:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Australian Speech Pathology degree (undergraduate or graduate-entry Masters)
• Committed to delivering respectful, inclusive and high-quality patient care
• A strong communicator with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Organised, adaptable and willing to learn, with a positive approach to feedback and professional development

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
