Your new role:
As an Advanced Scope Pharmacy Assistant (Cancer Services), you will provide specialised technical support to pharmacists delivering cancer care across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service. Working within a highly regulated production environment, you will play a critical role in medicines preparation, quality assurance and workflow coordination to support safe and effective patient care.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and dispense medication orders and oncology treatment plans
- Compound sterile and non-sterile products, including cytotoxic medicines
- Support quality control, equipment monitoring and GMP compliance
- Manage stock, high-cost medicines and inventory processes
- Assist with training, competency assessments and supervision support
- Contribute to service improvement, safety initiatives and team workflows
About you:
You are a skilled pharmacy assistant with advanced technical capability, strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety in complex care environments.
You will bring:
- Experience in aseptic and cytotoxic manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of pharmacy standards, SOPs and GMP principles
- High attention to accuracy, safety and quality control
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Confidence to support training and mentor junior staff
- Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support (or equivalent)
