About the role
The Clinical Director of Orthopaedics is one of the senior professional medical officers for Orthopaedics in the HHS and is responsible for ensuring the highest professional and ethical standards are observed by all medical staff employed to provide medical services in Orthopaedics. Responsibilities will be shared with the Clinical Director of Orthopaedics in providing medical leadership to the Orthopaedic department.
The position will be required to provide clinical supervision and support, as appropriate, to Senior Medical Officers, Registrars, Principal House Officers, Interns and Medical Students working within West Moreton Health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Clinical skills in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Ability, skills and initiative in the leadership and motivation of a multidisciplinary team as well as oral and written communication skills commensurate with this position.
- Knowledge of safety and quality initiatives in the area of medicine including the ability to carry out quality improvement initiatives plan and conduct audits, analyse data, implement change, and evaluate change as necessary.
- Contributions and demonstrated high level commitment to the promotion of exceptional standards in the provision of public health services.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
