Your new role:
This role provides peer-led support within Addiction Services, drawing on lived experience to promote recovery-oriented practice and meaningful client engagement across clinical and community settings.
- Deliver formalised peer support, psychoeducation, and practical assistance to clients accessing alcohol and other drug (AOD) services, supporting recovery, resilience, and community connection
- Use lived experience to inspire hope, model recovery, and support clients to identify and work towards achievable and meaningful recovery goals
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with non-government organisations to enhance recovery-focused care and service delivery
About you:
You are a recovery-focused peer professional who brings lived experience, strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to support individuals, teams and services.
- You are skilled at engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, building respectful relationships and promoting hope, inclusion and recovery-oriented practice
- You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing the peer perspective while collaborating with clinical staff and external partners
- You demonstrate well-developed communication skills and an interest in peer-led education, group facilitation and continuous service improvement
