About us:
Infection Control Facilitators coordinate activities designed to prevent, monitor and manage healthcare associated infections and is therefore an integral component of the contemporary healthcare system.
Essential to the success of these activities is the recognition by all healthcare workers that effective infection prevention, surveillance and control requires a multidisciplinary approach and commitment. Infection control activities, policies and procedures are based on legislative requirements, international and national guidelines and Australian standards.
About the role:
The activities required of roles at this level are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Manager in Infection Prevention and Control in management activities and in advocating for and providing advice to the business units across the Central Queensland Health on contemporary infection control practices to meet the business unit's strategic and operational objectives, Central Queensland Health Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
About you:
- Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory for this position.
- A relevant post graduate qualification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrates pro-active commitment in the identification and implementation of advanced clinical evidenced-based skill and knowledge that applies to quality, patient safety and risk initiatives and measures to facilitate continuous improvement and the achievement of National Standards relating to infection control.
- Demonstrated understanding of Central Queensland Health Quality and Safety Strategic direction and the National Standards for accreditation, with application to the Health Service.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $6,792 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
