QEII Jubilee Hospital is establishing a talent pool for Registered Nurses (NG5) to support the Central Sterilisation Department over the next 12 months. This recruitment process may be used to fill casual and temporary part-time opportunities as they arise. You’ll deliver safe, efficient and best-practice sterilisation and reprocessing of reusable medical devices, supporting perioperative services and patient safety across the hospital.

Your new role:
In this role, you will provide nursing care within the Central Sterilisation Department, ensuring reusable medical devices are reprocessed safely and in line with national standards. You'll work collaboratively within a specialised nursing team and may take on team leader responsibilities as required.
You will:
- Perform reprocessing of reusable medical devices in line with AS 5369 standards
- Undertake decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging and steril+F2:I2isation duties
- Support loan instrument coordination and workload management
- Participate in handover, shift planning and team leadership activities
- Contribute to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
About you:
You are a Registered Nurse who values precision, teamwork and patient safety, with an interest in perioperative and sterilisation services.
You will bring:
- Current NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience or interest in sterilisation or perioperative environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to best-practice standards
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team-based roster
- Willingness to work varied shifts across a 7-day service

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
