Working within a multidisciplinary Child & Youth team, you'll provide specialist occupational therapy input across assessment, intervention and care planning. Your focus will be on enabling functional participation — supporting young people to build skills, routines and confidence across daily activities, school engagement and community involvement.

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure occupational therapy perspectives are embedded within recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care pathways. Through consultation, education and contribution to service development, you'll help strengthen the team's understanding of functional and environmental factors, creating more holistic and practical outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services delivers community-based mental health care across the lifespan. Our Child & Youth teams provide specialist assessment, treatment and recovery support across rural and regional communities, working closely with families, schools and local services.

About the role:

• Deliver high-level assessment, intervention and care planning for complex cases
• Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary child & youth team
• Support intake assessment, crisis response and coordinated care pathways
• Contribute to education, supervision, research and service improvement
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and community partners

About you:

• You are qualified and AHPRA registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• You are an experienced mental health clinician passionate about child & youth care
• You bring strong clinical judgement and confidence working autonomously
• You value collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement
• You are registered with the relevant professional body for your discipline
• You are ready to make a meaningful impact in a rural community

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $65,684 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
