About us:

The Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service is based in Yeppoon, a coastal town in Central Queensland, Australia. Yeppoon is renowned for its beaches, tropical climate, and the islands out on the bay. Twenty-five minutes from the city of Rockhampton, Yeppoon is the principal town on the Capricorn Coast, a string of seaside communities stretching more than 150 kilometres from north to south, in which approximately 25,000 people live.

About the role:

  • Provide non-clinical support to the Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service in the areas of porterage, cleaning, food services, fire safety and security, linen and waste management.
  • Undertake all training requirements necessary to perform duties effectively and assist with the orientation of new staff.
  • Follow duties list to ensure that all required tasks are completed.
  • Undertake all cleaning duties to meet Queensland Health Operational Services Policies and Standards.
  • Follow correct procedures for chemical and consumables using only supplied products.

About you:

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Experience or ability to acquire skills in areas for example, food, cleaning, porterage, linen and waste.
  • Ability to abide by relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Written and verbal communications skills to effectively liaise with clients and employees of the hospital.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and be flexible in a changing teamwork environment due to client demands and needs.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $39.05 - $41.66 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
