About the role:

A Clinical Nurse Diabetes Education is a Registered Nurse who is accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered in a clinical specialty. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the Line Manager of the unit. The Clinical Nurse Diabetes Education role is responsible for portfolio management with focus on clinical care/leadership, management, and education.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Competence in the application of clinical problem solving and effective coordination of person-centred care at an advanced level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, patients, families, and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks to achieve work unit outcomes.
  • Understand your broad responsibility for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $135,857 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.50 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
