About us:
The Rockhampton Hospital Cancer Care Pharmacy team delivers safe and effective pharmaceutical care to Cancer Care patients at Rockhampton Hospital and outreach services (Emerald, Theodore and Biloela).
This includes the provision of cancer care medicines, provision of medicines information to both patients and the multi-disciplinary team, system management of the oncology information systems (MOSAIQ), and ensure quality service provision through continuous quality improvement. The Cancer Care Pharmacy team is part of the Rockhampton, Mount Morgan and Capricorn Coast Pharmacy Service Group.

About the role:
The Pharmacist Advanced – Cancer Care Team Leader manages a satellite oncology dispensary and delivers advanced cancer pharmacy services to stakeholders/consumers within Rockhampton Hospital and outreach services across Central Queensland Health to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research. This includes implementing and monitoring operational activities, leading quality improvement activities, providing professional governance activities and operational oversight for a team of pharmacists and clinical assistants. This position carries a clinical caseload and reports to the Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Rockhampton.
About you:
- Degree in pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent).
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
- Experience in the cancer care / oncology field would be highly desirable.
- While not mandatory, a graduate diploma or masters qualification in an pharmacy-related field would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
